About Brycyn >

Brycyn Thompson (he/him) attends Cooperative Arts and Humanities High School in his hometown of New Haven. He is a member in the band, being a talented multi-instrumentalist.

Brycyn joined Students for Educational Justice his freshmen year when he saw that his friend group became interested in the organization. He attended SEJ weekly meetings for 3 years, becoming an active member. After completing the SEJ 2019 Summer Intensive Training, he was offered to join the Leadership Team as the SEJ Organizer. He now helps the team organize meetings and events, recruits new members, and co-facilitates the weekly meetings.

Being with SEJ has helped Brycyn identify systems that were made to oppress BIPOC and gives him the chance to be apart of the fight to end those systems.
