My name is Stephanie, I am a 12th-grade student at New Haven Public Schools. I have been a member of SEJ for the past 3 years and I am so excited to help the organization work towards racial and educational justice in Connecticut. I completed an internship cycle for SEJ and continued to stay plugged in with the overall work. I have now re-joined the Leadership Team as the SEJ Organizer.

I have been involved in so many things with SEJ, including party and fundraiser planning, a research group for House Bill 7082 (now Public Act 19-12), outreach and recruitment efforts, and I have even helped plan weekly meetings. In addition to my work with the community, I also love creative writing and dance. In the future, I want to be either a primary school teacher or a high school history teacher.
